REDWOOD CITY
The City is located in the Bay Area 25 miles south of San Francisco and 25 miles north of San Jose. Redwood City is home to approximately 76,000 people. It is the oldest bayside city in San Mateo County, incorporated in 1867, and has been the County Seat since 1856.
Redwood City combines residential, commercial and service industries while experiencing growth in computer and internet companies as Silicon Valley moves north. Its waterfront provides a yacht harbor and the only deepwater port in the south bay.
 The suburban community of Redwood City is located in the Bay Area of northern California, approximately 25 miles south of San Francisco and 27 miles north of San Jose. The county seat of San Mateo County, Redwood City extends from the hillsides of the Santa Cruz Mountains to the San Francisco Bay shoreline.
